The leaves are all dying, yet they still stay attached. Kind of like a metaphor for life. Every year as we all know the trees loose their leaves around fall, but then spring time they all grow back even more lush. After a nice wet dew falling, the leaf obtained crystalized looking water drops. The detail of the leaves seem more distinctive in this type of overcast weather, with no over exposure from the sun of course.
